Alumni Program

As part of our holistic approach to addiction treatment, Pathways Recovery has created our alumni program to provide support to our clients after they have completed treatment.

Addiction is a “disease of isolation” and 30, 60 or even 90 days in a residential treatment program or outpatient rehab program is usually not where that story ends. Addiction treatment programs provide structure and connection for clients that was more than likely missing in their lives before treatment. To bridge the gap between formal addiction treatment and daily life, Pathways Recovery encourages our clients to participate in our alumni program.

We consider our clients to be part of the Pathways Recovery family and much like other families we like to see our family members thrive in their daily lives. To support our family members after their formal addiction treatment (either residential or outpatient) the alumni program enables them to maintain the relationships developed during treatment and nurture new relationships with others who are traveling the same path.

Currently we offer an alumni group one night per week where previous clientele can return and engage with other alumni and even current residents to discuss what is going on in their lives right now. A familiar face or voice can often be the difference between staying clean and sober or stepping back into isolation and addiction. As our family grows Pathways Recovery will support any format of alumni program that is nurturing healthy relationships.

Whether this means onsite or offsite meetings, virtual meetings, or other alumni group activities Pathways Recovery will support the needs of our alumni community depending on how the alumni community best feels this can be done. Because of this the alumni group is run by alumni with the support of our addiction treatment staff. Connection is the key to thriving in recovery from addiction, and we will support any form that makes sense to everyone who particpates.
